Attention All Edinburghers!

In spite of all the attention on the recent influx of youngsters, Poles have lived in Edinburgh for centuries now. Some have even been granted the keys to the city, such as freedom fighter Ladislas Zamoyski and his uncle Prince Czartoryski, the uncrowned King in exile. Polish veterans weren't confined to the homo sapiens variety either. Indeed, a brown bear called Wojtek who helped carry ammunition during the Battle of Monte Cassino ended his days in Edinburgh Zoo when the hopes of a free Poland were dashed in '45.

But enough of the past. The Edinburgh Evening News would love to talk to any locals who've done the opposite. So if you're a Scot from the city of Stevenson, please feel welcome to write to this address and air your thoughts about life in Poland.
