Tonight, Cracovians and visitors in the Old Town will get a unique treat on Plac Szepanski. A special concert called "Toast & Jam" will start at 7:30 pm, with six bands playing, including a guest from the UK.

The "Toast & Jam" concert is a one-night festival of music by foreigners in Krakow that's part of the city's celebration of 750 years of the location of Krakow. The festival features bands of several genres whose line-up features at least one ex-pat (but some, like Fox Gang, consist almost entirely of ex-pats that live in Krakow). Bands performing that evening (several of whom are written about in our Live Music in Krakow page) include the Midnight Reverie Trio, Bloody Mary, Sacred Music Class, Eluktrick, Fox Gang, and special guest of the evening Tony Wrafter, who has recorded with Massive Attack, Tricky, and The Cure. The last song of the concert will feature most of the performers, and has been written especially for this night to celebrate the beauty of Krakow. The concert will take place on a giant stage on Plac Szczepanski on July 6th starting at 7:30 pm, and best of all, it's absolutely free! Here's hoping the rain stays away for this one.
