A rare chance to hear the lowdown from the horse's mouth comes today as the Israeli ambassador will be giving a speech at Kazimierz's Galicia Museum. Ambassador David Peleg's allotted theme is 'The Arab - Israeli Conflict: A Chance For a New Middle East' - a topic that is unlikely to prove dull.
Besides being ambassador to Poland, Mr Peleg is a specialist in history - in particular the History of Islam, so it is likely that he will be bring more to the debate than most. The ambassador himself hails from a Polish Jewish family from the Suwalki region.
The lecture is set to begin at 7pm at the Galicia Museum, and although given in English, Polish-speakers have the opportunity to listen to a translation through headphones.
