Cracow's very own racing demon will make sporting history on Friday, being the first ever Pole to start a Formula One race. Twenty-one year old Robert Kubica has been gearing up to this moment since he was a four years old nipper, when he learnt his skills on the legendary (and decidedly otherworldly) go-karting circuit in Cracow's Kazimierz.
Kubica has clocked the fastest times this season for the BMW Sauber team. This redoubtable record, coupled with Jaques Villeneuve's continuing problems with injury, has cleared the way for Kubica to let rip at the Hungarian Grand Prix tommorrow. Cracow Life wishes him all the very best!
