President Goes Pink In The Face
A large group of gay protesters have forced their way into the hall at Berlin’s Humboldt University and disrupted a lecture by Polish president Lech Kaczynski chanting ‘Get this man out of the university.' A spokesman for the group came up to the speaker’s podium and called the Polish president ‘an anti-democrat’. The police intervened.
The President of Poland has become of the target of human rights organizations after he refused permission last year for a Gay Pride march to take place in Warsaw, when he was mayor of the city, and has since made what are interpreted as homophobic remarks.
