Aristocratic Diplomat In Hot Water
A former Polish diplomat Piotr Dzieduszycki has been detained in connection with an attempt to smuggle 75 kilos of brown heroin from Poland to Germany.
The drugs were hidden in a secret container in the man’s car. The street-value of the seizure is 3 million dollars.
Poland’s Central Bureau of Investigation cooperated with intelligence from other EU states in the action.
60 year old Dzieduszycki is a member of a well-known aristocratic family. He left Poland in the 1960s and returned in the early nineties, having spent more than three decades in Brazil. Back in Poland, he worked for four years as an adviser to the foreign minister and chief of diplomatic protocol.
