Pollera Krakow

Here we have another charming Old World confection, but in this case, the prices are more moderate than the current crop of designer hotels. Pollera is still in the hands of the family that owned it before the war, and they're seeking to return the flavour of those bygone years. Much of the elegant interiors have survived, including a fabulous turn of the century ballroom (now the main restaurant) and stained glass windows by Poland's best-loved artist, the Cracovian genius Stanislaw Wyspianski. Rooms are decidedly less expensive than many of the other hotels in this part of town, all the more excuse to treat yourself around town.

We loved this hotel. We changed our plans and stayed an additional night. Great location, good service.

Excellent location and staff very helpful. The decor is a little dated but the rooms were clean. Breakfast was plentiful but a little plain

Pros: Really nice hotel with atmosphere, in a great place for reaching everything on foot and private and free parking is a benefit! Cons: Bit noisy with creaky floors, and staff could be more helpful with information.
