Monika Szwed

Monika Szwed's distinctive watercolour and oil pastel works could be described as deceptively simple - having at their heart the prosaic and the everyday, but touching upon themes and subjects that sometimes run as dazzling threads through the rich tapestry of life. This is not her first time at Zderzak, a contemporary gallery which is always pleased to welcome her back. Szwed herself is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, and won a Young Poland Culture and Heritage scholarship in recognition of her talents.
