This exhibition of photographs showcases a selection of the work of a Krakow-born photographer who set out to document the relationship and differences between the two worlds of Poland and Palestine. e’ev (Wilhelm) Aleksandrowicz was born in Kraków in 1905. His passion for photography took him around the world, including three visits to Palestine in the 1930s. He died in Tel Aviv in 1992 – and it would be another 11 years before his family discovered a suitcase crammed with 15,000 negatives, documenting his life’s work. The National Library in Israel has the complete collection – from which this exhibition is drawn.
