Krakow has a fine tradition of glasswork and stained glass art, so the city is the perfect backdrop for Peter Ostrowski's exploration of the possibilities and limitations of his chosen medium. By addressing the challenges inherent in the fragile, beautiful and by extension short-lived nature of glass, Ostrowski has been able to create a series of bold and innovative prints where glass becomes a mirror and magnifying glass to itself. This promises to be a thoughtful and accomplished project from an artist known for his work on the terminal at Balice airport and the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk.
