Sakana Sushi Bar

Sushi has become a popular treat amongst more cosmopolitan Cracovians; and if you're a fan of fish, prepared in the Japanese style, then you might want to join them at Sakana Sushi Bar. Simply take your place at the bar and watch as little wooden ships, laden with treats, float past you on a watery conveyor belt. Delights such as swordfish, tuna and octopus sushi sail by on different coloured plates, each colour indicating the price of the dish. You simply grab whatever takes your fancy. Rather clever really! If you'd prefer to order from the set menu, then why not reserve a spot in the bamboo-decorated VIP room?

Sakana Sushi Bar

"I am surprised at the bad review last, because when i went there with my dad ans fiance last week, we all agreed that this was the best sushi we had ever tasted anywhere in Europe or the US!!! maybe it's the cook :) we were served by this lovely blond guy who made some creative specialties for us whenever we just asked for a specific fish and who was so brilliant with the making as if he was raised by Japanese parents!!! If he is there, then this is definitely an 1+++ sushi experience!!! :):):)"

"Low quality hight price.Although cooks are nice, they donft know how to make sushi. The horrible thing is that they are not clean enough to serve sushi. In sushi there should be a very clean kitchen cloth in order to clean the knife and the chopping block. The kitchen cloth was very dirty. If you tasted sushi in other countries such as England, France, Germany, America and so on, you would find how they take high price and offer not fresh things. "

"I have eaten at their branch in Warsaw which is good, but the Krakow operation is an all together more relaxed experience. The sushi is very good and perfect after too many peirogi! Ok the sushi is westernised but having eaten a lot of sushi in Japan this is the best you will get."

"The boats are an amusing and aesthetic touch, and it puts a whole new spin on the conveyor belt sushi idea, which has been around for a while. The sushi is delicious as well, and you can sit right by the chef and he'll make whatever you fancy right in front of you. My only complaint is that the prices are equivalent to those in Western Europe or even the conveyor belt sushi places in London, so you're paying the same as you would back home. Great sushi, but not for those on a budget!"
