| | "I ate at La Fontaine last night and experienced a truly memorable meal. Attentive service, good wine cellar and the food was the best I have experienced in Krakow. The gourmet salad starter (scallops, king prawns & foie gras) may sound OTT but it really works & is delicious. The duck fillet with wild mushrooms was perfectly presented and an absolute delight. I'm back in the UK tonight, but I wish I was back at La Fontaine to explore more of the menu. I recommend it, i'd call it superb." | David Bailey

alors on nous a conseiller le restaurant La Fontaine et son nouveau chef de cuisine tout droit venant de la cote d'azur... Le repas fut un festival pour nos papilles,qui encore s'en souviennent. le petit plus une serveuse qui parle francais et tres sympatique, rapport qualite prix et la venue du chef a notre table ont completer notre soiree. nous conseillons vivement le restaurant la fontaine et sa cuisine inoubliable." | nicolas durant

Firstly the restaurant is located in a superb cellar, secondly the staff were young women who were super efficient and very friendly. Lastly the food was extremely good and reasonably priced. | | "When aprox. 30 dentists and dental nurses from Stockholm visited La Fontaine on September 1, 2005 all of them got heavily sick from salmonella. Most of them had to go to hospital both in Cracow and later on in Stockholm. Many of them are still sick more than a week later. I wouldn´t recommend this restaurant." | Rolf

| | "One of the most amazing meals I've ever had! We went at an off-hour and had practically the entire place (and definitely the entire waiter) to ourselves. Each room of the cellar is distinctly decorated, to create an enchanting atmosphere. The food, down to each aperitif, was delicious.
