The owners Roberto and Francesco have created an elegant, contemporary vibe, at the same time taking care to bring out the charm of this classic medieval cellar. no doubts, best restaurant in Krakow. Autentico italiano, reasonably priced, would be successful in Italy too. I recommend the fresh seafood selection on Thursday night.
And, hardly the case in Poland, professional and friendly service.

Still the best Italian restaurant in Krakow.

Aqua and Vino was the other restaurant recommended by our hotel. It is a small, tastefully decorated and the food is very good. We especially liked the pasta with shrimp and wild mushrooms. Also the special octopus was perfect. Our waitress spoke English and the service was excellent.

Just finished dinner at Aqua and Vino and feel obliged to compliment the staff and kitchen. Kudos! This was one of the best Italian meals that I have ever eaten. I began with a glass of their house Prosecco and Vitello Tonnato - the Prosecco was bright and fruity; the veal was tender with a perfect sauce. I followed with the fresh pappardelle pasta with prawns and wild mushrooms. This pasta dish is a tour de force - amazing! I will be back if only for this wonderful creation. For a main dish I ordered the lamb chops coated with pistachio nuts. The combination of lamb with nuts was outstanding. My friends and I ordered a bottle of recommended by the manager - 2007 Azienda Patrizi. It was delicious and the perfect accompaniment to our meal. For dessert, my friends had the "baked" ice cream - I could not eat any more. The creamy ice cream was studded with pralines and topped with a thin layer of crispy hot burnt caramel -- like creme brulee but better. The meal was Incredible and we already have reservation for tomorrow evening.

My first night in aqua e vino was sensational! Everything a world class restaurant should be. The food and service was top class and the staff friendly, polite and helpful. However I returned a second night and it was like walking into a completely different restaurant. There were different staff on duty who clearly didn't care about their customers. They never informed me about specials or gave me any information about the menu. Service was slow and I had to request the bill 3 times. Food was poor and the portions were very small comparing to the first night. I left there very dissapointed and will not be returning. I would be embarressed if I recommended this restaurant to friends and they recieved this kind of service. Consistency is crucial when it comes to the food service industry and it would have helped a little bit if the staff even seemed the slightest bit interested.

Bylem w ten czwartek w Aqua i muszę przyznać ze zakochałem się we włoskim jedzeniu a tym bardziej w owocach morza. Zamówiłem spaghetti vongole i był to strzał w dziesiątkę, najlepszy makaron jaki do tej pory miałem okazje zjeść, a na przystawkę zamówiłem moscardini - niebo w gębie. Bardzo przytulne miejsce z miłą i zawsze uśmiechnięta obsługą. Byłem tam pierwszy raz ale na pewno nie ostatni.

They offer a set price lunchtime menu which is of excellent price and quality. Very pleasant cellar surroundings and excellent service. Top Italian food at Polish prices!

excellent food, really perfect! service was good. the -2 are because of the housewine that didn´t have a nice taste to it and that the ambient could be better (in order to be spotless).

Smaczne jedzenie w miłej atmosferze. Obsługa sympatyczna. Ceny adekwatne do jakości. Polecam wszystkim, którzy tęsknią za prawdziwie włoskim jedzeniem. Brawo!

Bardzo dobre jedzenie. Spróbowałam świeżych czarnych ravioli z łososiem i ricottą i jestem pod wrażeniem. Miła obsługa i fantastyczna atmosfera tego miejsca.

I dropped in here last night at the suggestion of the staff at my hotel. The food was excellent, the prices were very reasonable, and the wait-staff was very friendly! It was everything I needed after a long miserable day of travel, and it was some of the best Italian food I've had anywhere, including Italy. Ignore the few negative reviews and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Very good choice also for a perfect lunch! Two courses for just 35 złoty with water and coffee included. Probably the best Italian Restaurant in Krakow!

We found Aqua e Vino recommended in a local guidebook and went there for our last evening in Krakow. The restaurant is in a cellar just off the Market Square and was obviously very popular with locals.The food is authentically Italian and is excellent.

Superb restaurant

We spent 5 nights in Krakow with our friends from Malaga who are living in the area and we dined in Aqua e Vino on their recommendation. The first time was last week and the food, wine and service was fantastic. It was so good we also spent our last evening back in the restaurant. We have some good Italian Restaurants in Malaga but Aqua e Vino by far outshines them. Special mention to Roberto who is a superb host. We will definitely be back in the Summer.

A superb restaurant, it has a subdued and very sophisticated ambience, excellent service, delicious food, and best of all, it's price is so much lower than you'd expect. You could give double the amount for a meal in tips and still save money compared to London or Parisian restaurants!

This restaurant is really very good and the reviews, except the last one reflect that. Inaccurate or negative reviews can be damaging but in this case, I suggest, should be completely ignored. We have eated at this restaurant many times and have always had excellent food and service and would highly recommend it. I am not connected to this restaurant in any way other than by being a very happy and satisfied customer!

Excellent Italian restaurant. Superb food in an unformal atmosphere, so closed to the main square... so far from the caos! Good Italian wine by the glass for 9 zloty. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

An excellent, well run accomodating restaurant near the Main Square. I booked my table thru the internet before our Krakow vacation. Excellent response, food and impeccable service. They even had a surprise Buon Compleanno cake for my wife. Got her good with that one (a few tears). Very good for value. Try the dorada and lamb dishes. Too die for.

This is one of the best Italian restaurant we've ever been (Italy included!!). Superb food in a casual location but elegant at the same time, with excellent service and with probably the best wine list in Cracow. We also spent here New Year's Eve and even if the local was completely full we have to say that Francesco and Roberto made us feel as we was in Italy, even better! Starter was ok, but lamb really incredible. Not expensive here, sometime the people waiting a little but waiters are smaling and professional. Good place for KraKow.

8 months on after writing our first review of this wonderful restaurant we find ourselves still living in Krakow and have experienced the deliciously fresh food and wonderful friendly service on a weekly basis during this time. We still haven't found a better place to dine in Krakow so will continue to enjoy the Aqua e Vino team's traditional Italian food and hospitality for the remainder of our stay here. You can't really find a better Italian restaurant in Krakow. Aqua e Vino is simply superb! The service is top notch and the food is fantastic! Make sure you head for this Italian cellar and sample the fantastic wine too! If you're visiting Krakow and want the best Italian in town, this is the place! Visited Aqua e vino on two consecutive nights in May 2008,All four of us found excellent food which was beautifully presented,friendly staff and excellent service.It will be hard to find a better Italian restaurant in Cracow.

I visited Aqua e Vino last April having read the reviews on this site. I was quite surprised when I arrived at the entrance - it's not too inviting. However, the restaurant itself when you go down to the cellar is really lovely. The food and service are very good. I'm deducting 1 point as I have had better meals in Krakow. However, it's definitely worth a visit.

Ci vedremo al piu' presto. Gli antipasti erano buoni ma la pasta meglio di quella Italiana. Finalmente due veneziani cortesi e simpatici. CIAO

This restaurant was a little hard for us to find, and we made it with no time to spare for our 7:30 reservation. It is tiny, as others have said, and the tables closer together, which made it easy to chat with a wonderful Italian couple who sat next to us. Two visits - two great meals. One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have had. If you like seafood, go and enjoy this restaurant for what is: fresh ingredients, cooked well and served with a smile. We really enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to revisit or recommend. They stay open late too which is rare in Krakow.

Sono nata a Cracovia e studio l'italiano da ben 4 anni. Amo la cucina polacca ma metto quella Made in Italy al primo posto, per gusto, leggerezza e fantasia. L'unico ristorante a Cracovia dove posso trovare questi requisiti e' Aqua e Vino. Ieri in compagnia del mio ragazzo, abbiamo cenato, "come sempre", in modo impeccabile. Vino e pesce in simbiosi nel sapore. Un'esplosione di sapori in ogni singola pietanza. Buon lavoro e continuate cosi'. Bravi a tutti xxx

I VISITED AQUA E VINO'S LAST WEEK AND WAS AMAZED TO FIND SUCH A GREAT ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN CRACOW.MY FRIEND AND I ATE SUMPTUOUSLY ON THREE OCCASIONS AND WE WERE CONTEMPLATING A FOURTH VISIT,IF TIME ALLOWED.EVERYTHING ABOUT THE RESTAURANT WAS JUST PERFECT,FROM THE MOMENT WE WERE SEATED,THE STAFF ( FIRST OF ALL THE ELEGANT ROBERTO WITH HIS PERFECT SPANISH! )LOOKED AFTER US FANTASTICALLY.THE FOOD SPOKE VOLUMES ABOUT THE CULINARY TALENTS OF THE KITCHEN(THE SALT BAKED SEABASS WAS SUPERB)AND I PARTICULARLY RELISHED THE DESSERTS.SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT WITHOUT BEING OVERBEARING,THE FOOD AND WINE OFFERED GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.GREAT SURPRISE FOR THE FREE LIMONCELLO AFTER DINNER...I WOULD HEARTILY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE VISITING CRACOW,BOTH FOR IT'S ATMOSPHERE AND THE WHOLE MEAL EXPERIENCE.
