Edo Sushi Bar email

Edo Sushi Bar website

Edo chose a great location to set up shop when it plumped for the up and coming cool cat district of Kazimierz. This vibrant and liberal area is a favourite with artists, tourists and the upwardly mobile - in other words perfect sushi bar frequenters! With it's minimalist geometric design, an instant feeling of relaxation is felt on entering Edo and you'll certainly be made to feel at home by the welcoming staff. All that's left then after that is to take your pick from excellent sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes.

Edo Sushi Bar

After reading the rave reviews even if the last one was a few years ago me and my wife went for a late lunch. I do not know about the past qualities but now it was not even close to what other reviewers experienced. Short, below average for a just ok sushi place. Miso soup totally free of character and taste, the slices of fish on nigiri was thin and of low quality, salmon was a bit old and gave the wrong fishy taste etc. Complexity in taste was absent and rice of low quality probably boiled the day before without taste. Compared to EDO in Zakopane (are the related to each other?) which serves outstanding sushi this is not even a sushi place. Perhaps management changed since 2008 (time of the last review) and that screwed things up, I will for sure not try again.

Fantastic sushi at great prices. For anyone who like me love salmon and tuna sushi, I would highly recommend the butterfish as this was even better!

We ate here last week and Doda and Majdan were also enjoying the food - basically the best sushi in Cracow (and I've tried them all!)

I have eaten Japanese cuisine in every possible restaraunt in almost anywhere BUT Japan itself, and I must say...this is BY FAR the best I've ever had. The restauraunt in itself is a beautiful sactuary, with peaceful japanese music playing, and the overall place has a real sense of calm. But the food! I fell in love with the shiitake nigiri (sushi), sweet mushrooms on vinegared rice. It was literally a slice of heaven... I would also reccomend trying on of the superb miso soups in their amazingly extensive range, they melt in your mouth and stay in your memeory for a lifetime. Still don't believe me? I went there twice a day, every day it was open, depite it being quite far from our apartment!

Definately one of my fave restaurants in Krakow. I went for lunch yesterday and ordered my usual, spicy tuna rolls and a mix of sashimi. The food at Edo is fantastic and the fish is really fresh. I've had sushi in Tokyo and honestly the quality at Edo is comparable. really excellent and definately worth visiting.

Edo sushi bar is my favourite sushi place now in Cracow. The menu offers a big variety of all kinds and the prices are affordable (compared to sushi place in Galeria Krakowska:) ). The place fits perfectly my imagination of sushi place: relaxing and cosy. The best value of the bar is the chef!

Delicious! Great service and the sashimi and sushi were excellent. I had a mix of sashimi and the spicey tuna rolls. I would definately go back, actually I plan to go again this weekend!

I have eaten at Edo many times and I have yet to have a bad experience. It is the "only" sushi place in Krakow. The other 2 just pretend...It is as good or better then any place in Warsaw and I would have to state I consider it to be the best in Poland. I am from the East Coast in the states and have years of experience working with fresh seafood and I have not seen anything at Edo that would lead me to believe that their fish is not fresh.
They have a true sushi chef and owners that spent years in Japan learning the trade so I can highly recommend this place to all...

Best Sushi in Krakow and comparable to some of the better restaurants I've been in the world. One of the nicest places anywhere to eat sush in terms of Japanese decor and ambience. I definetly recommend it.

Look nice inside, service is friendly... but definitly not enough to convice a delicate palate. You might not get sick but Sushi, salmon and tuna are not really fresh !
