'The Cellar under Wierzynek' is a new string in the bow of the famed Wierzynek, the oldest restaurant in Cracow, whose history stretches all the way back to 1364. They have thoroughly renovated their medieval cellar, where the mood changes according to the changing of the seasons. Beautiful Gothic walls give the impression of safety and warmth so typical of Krakow's magical cellars. A wide range of choices from the grill makes Pownica Pod Wierzynkiem a great place to settle down for lunch or dinner. Everyone who visits the cellar can expect the same standards and quality that Restaurant Wierzynek is famous for, but in a more relaxed setting with prices to match.

Best place we ate in Krakow. Service was excellent and the food fantastic. The bill was surprisingly low too.
