Pepe rosso

|
Although you can find some glorious oddities lurking on unsuspecting corners, Kazimierz is rather short on restaurants with a contemporary touch. The newly opened Pepe Rosso is aiming to fill that gap, You'll find it right in the heart of Kazimierz, below the smart Karmel hotel. The restaurant has been decked out in a light and elegant style, wiith a few rustic touches here and there. Besides the ground floor, the owners have also commandeered the attractive medieval cellars. On the menu you'll find a host of classic Italian dishes, all elegantly delivered. Worth a try. |

My boyfriend and I ate here on a whim after the restaurant recommended to us by our hotel was full. We were pleasently surprised. The vaulted ceiling in the basement dining area was lovely and added a little something extra to the experience. No complaint with regard service either. The food was very good. Our shared meat and cheese platter was huge and really tasty. We both had fillet steak as a main, mine a perfect bloody medium rare and his a very satisfying medium well. I would definately recommend this restaurant.
