Metropolitan

Metropolitan is a really well-run restaurant and bar, with friendly staff who make a welcome change from the sort of downbeat service you sometimes get elsewhere. The food is good, with the breakfasts especially popular, and its central location makes it ideal if you wish to stop by for coffee or lunch. The waiters are cheerful and friendly, and welcome children too - this is the only place we have found in Cracow where they bring coloured pencils and paper to keep the little ones amused while you enjoy your meal. Good on them!

"Great place to come if you have kids - at least the waiters take the trouble to bring paper and crayons to keep them amused. Well done to them!"

"Let me just say I'm incredibly happy there's a place I can get a good burger in Kraków. Great service, delicious food and the only place that has served me a decent lemonade so far."

"we always eat here when we are in krakow. menu is excellent and often updated to keep a good choice. ceasar salad and fillet steak is always a good choice. As with all good restaurants, that cook fresh food, there can sometimes be a short wait for your meal but the selection of fresh warm breads keeps you satisfied in the meantime. A great restaurant of international standard."

"Really excellent food - no doubt about it - and some of the best service to be found in the city. As always, the staff make a great effort to make guests welcome (including children who are not simply tolerated but actually well looked after!) The menu is fresh and interesting, with a good range of intelligent dishes prepared to the highest standards. The only one slight criticism is that the food did take a long time to arrive, but it was certainly worth the wait. All in all - a winner!"

"Surprisingly, for a cultural city, Krakow suffers from a distinct lack of great modernistic cuisine restaurants. However, The Metropolitan is the only one I know of it's kind in Krakow, the modern surroundings provide a great ambiance for casual or official dining, this coupled with it's fusion-style and International menu make this Restaurant a top priority for good nosh and vino. The head Chef, Laurant, is French, all the way from Paris; his ability to cook fine food is second to none. The team in this restaurant are very helpful and friendly, so go and give it a try."
