Miod i Wino

'Honey and Wine' serves up old noblemans fare. Indeed, you could well imagine a Sarmatian nobleman in his fur-trimmed coat and silk belt, banging his flagon on the table and singing a rowdy tune with his comrades in arms. This restaurant serves a good range of traditional Polish dishes, from bigos (a hunters stew), to fried trout and perch. It would make a good choice for a family dinner, and young children are sure to enjoy the atmosphere.

good service ,but that didn,t make up for poor quality food ,the salmon tasted like cat food and the pork so bland it coild have been cardboard avoid if possible

For some years I have visited Miod i Wino with groups. The good food and top atmosphere, including a nice and professional staff, is the reason why I come again!

Great atmosphere, tasty food, friendly staff, live music (at least on a Thursday night), cheap prices: a great place to eat out!

We had a nice meal and a good time here. The food was good and the waiters smiling and helpful. There was a good ambiance too with waiters in traditional costumes and live music. The house wine, which came in half a litre carafes, was good and inexpensive, too.

My fiend and I have just returned from Krakow and I had to write a review about this place. We ate here twice as it was that good. The food and service were fantastic. Huge portions of really hearty food. The waiters really do put on a performance - definitely worth a visit or two!

Ate here twice during our 4 days in Cracow after reading the reviews on this site. Really good food, portions deceptively filling - beware! Good friendly atmosphere, English speaking staff, (but that seemed to be the same everywhere!), be prepared to take the staff's advice on what to eat - you won't be disappointed. Nearly forgot, live folk music as well!

this restaurant was recommended by friends who had visited poland a week before we went. would get a table the first night, but was worth waiting for. the service was a bit slower than we would have liked, but it was a very busy evening... food was delish!!! if i'm ever in krakow again, i'll certainly go back to 'miod...'

The first night we went there they had a black-out, the entire street was without electricity. Our waiter, Jakub (Jacob) offered cold appetizers and the chef even managed to make apple pierogi and the traditional soup: zur.
The musical group "Slaviv Group" played variety of old nostalgic songs - very talented group. We bought the CD and brought it with us to USA to remind us of the great service Jakub offered. Truly old fashioned food and service.

We went there the following night - the lights were on this time - but the place did not have the same charm without Jakub's special smile and service. The band was as good as the first night.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel staff. The food was lovely, especially the fish platter of trout, perch and salmon. We also enjoyed the mushroom soup served in a bread loaf. The atmosphere was friendly and lighthearted - when the waiter brought a huge kebab over to a table and cooked it with soaring flames in front of them, it was a real spectacle. They even dimmed the lights to add to the sense of suspense! We recommend the food and the atmosphere, as well as the great service here.

What an amazing place!! The food was exceptional, try the mushroom soup, the portions were huge and very tasty. There were musicians, shields, animal skins on the walls and it made the atmosphere so memorable...definatley try this place!

Went eating here on our first evening in Cracow couple of weeks ago. Looked bit tacky from the outside but as was suggested by a receptionist in our guesthouse, we decided to give a try and didn't regret. Food was really delicious, good portions and served hungry travellers well. Also the atmosphere was nice, waiter was really friendly, helpful and professional. The nicest thing was the band "Slaviv" playing very nice music all the evening... Will remember the evening for a long time!

On our recent trip to Krakow we ate here twice as we had such a good time. The food was fabulous, and the service was really great. A real experience!

thankyou peter for your wonderful service and attention to detail. we were two broken men when we entered this hallowed place, with hangovers from hell and very unhealthy dose of 'the fear'. we were soon able to communicate and smile again though thanks to peter's sunny disposition and the medieval banquet that was placed before us. i recommend whatever the massive skewer of beef is called.

Go there and have yummy duck!!! Waiter will help you to share it in a spectacular way :-)))
We went there in a group of 15 and we could seat at one table. Friendly atmospheare, music live - it was evening full of surprises.

Horrible! Looks like a cheap polish-like-Disneyland, the food has nothing in common with the original polish cuisine. The worst place I've visited in Cracow.

I have tried more than 200 restaurants in Krakow. This one is a nice place to eat. Prices are acceptable. Services a bit slow for fully booked weekends. It is a must to try restaurant in Krakow.

This was the most memorable dinner out in Cracow for myself and my family!! The service was TOPS, the food absolutely first class and the presentation (beef tenderloins on a sword) made an impression. On a recent trip to Krakow, we decided to have dinner at the Szlacheckie Jadlo. The food we had was excellent and the waiters were attentive and polite. Perhaps it was because we spoke to them in polish which must of impressed them. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. The boar steak I had just melted in the mouth.

Worst restaruant of my recent trip, surly waiters and kitsch decoration. Vegetable side dishes were good, but my boar steak was as tough as old boots.
