Cafe Bistro Guliwer website

Cafe Bistro Guliwer's pleasant, unhurried atmosphere makes it the place to enjoy great coffee, a variety of flavoured teas or fine wine at an affordable price. The wine is the speciality - with an international line available by the glass or the carafe that is priced to suit even student budgets. If you want to splash out, consult the extensive wine list and order a whole bottle. Then again, why not try a fine roasted Carraro coffee, one of Italy's best, or choose from the tea infusions from the La Via del Te range. There is thick hot chocolate - with real chocolate, and cheesecake, apple pie, lemon tart and more, all homemade and backed by local cooks. If your appetite stretches a little further than dessert, Cafe Bistro Guliwer also has a range of Polish, Italian and French dishes, created using only fresh, natural ingredients. Wi-fi internet access means that Cafe Bistro Guliwer is well-suited for those taking a break from class or work, while its central location near the Rynek is ideal for concert, theatre and cinema-goers. Or, just grab the family, a group of friends, or your nearest and dearest, and drop by for dinner or a snack... not forgetting the wine, of course.

Haven't tried this under its new "cafe-bistro" guise, but yes, the lemon tart is superb. The same as you can get at Prowincja over the road (same crew).

The service and food at this place are fantastic! Highly recommended! The lemon tart is delicious too! There is nowhere in Krakow that does a better one! Need to go back for more!

Surprisingly good. Prices at places near the Rynek don't always equal quality, but Gulliwer Restaurant more than matched it. I had a perfectly seasoned and cooked 200kg trout with pan-fried potatoes. My dining partner had an excellent salad with chicken. Again, well cooked and seasoned with a nice, creamy sauce. I recommend!

Very disappointing. Just ate lunch here - vegetable 'Provencale Soup' was pretty much just salty bouillon with a few peas thrown in. Main course of liver was somewhat better - but at 28 zloty for a main course with no side dish it was on the expensive side. Service was pleasant but OH SO SLOW. After a meal for two costing 75 zloty, we both left feeling very hungry - not a good sign!

the pasta was quite literally inedible - don't order it! soup was so-so. the wine was dodgy and over priced. not an enjoyable experience at all.

My favorite restaurant in Krakow! The service was very friendly and efficient. We did not feel rushed at all and stayed there quite a while. The steaks were simply perfectly cooked, the desserts were very good and the atmosphere was cozy. Not to be missed!

A lovely welcoming place, with efficient friendly service (English speaking!) and excellent food. All 4 of us greatly enjoyed it. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent service (English speaking!), very tasty food, generous portions and good value. Would return. Excellent.

Certainly worth a try! Well prepared food all round. It can be difficult to get hold of a good steak in Poland, and house wines are usually pretty ropey in Krakow too. Here both were good. Only one suggestion, the restaurant is very attractive, but at night it could be doubly more romantic with more emphasis on the candles and less on the electric lights! But all in all a lovely evening!

This is a lovely restaurant with a good vegatarian choice. The canneloni was superb. We also ordered Polish style potatoes (Nalieszniki - I think) as a side dish which were out of this world. Overall, nice and cosy. Loved it!
