A highly popular and well-known traditional Mexican restaurant, Taco Mexicano has been on the Cracow restaurant scene for at least ten years. With many cosy rooms on the ground floor, and extra space in the cellar, a patio and the "Lopez" room, coupled with friendly service and the best burritos and enchilladas in town, it's not surprising that Taco Mexicano has become such a firm favourite in the city. The impressive array of tequilas to choose from also keeps the atmosphere suitably cheerful and fun.

The food at this restaurant can more appropriately be described as Mexican-ish. The enchiladas were more like cannelloni , but they were pretty good. My husbands bistek was equally yummy. What impressed us most was the quality of the side of beet salad...so good!

The food here is horrible, tasteless and greasy. My chicken tasted like it had been refried in oil that was about 2 weeks old. Krakow has so many great restaurants we were really disappointed that we chose this one as the food was so bad, the only bit of my meal that I enjoyed was the side order of cabbage.

Tread carefully here, while I had a reasonable meal (nothing spectacular) my wife's was completely inedible. I am not normally a harsh judge of food but this was just not pretty.

Pity because it has a nice ambience and the witer was attentive and pleasant.

Definately not Mexican food...but enjoyable, pleasant food and atmosphere...some problems -the tortillas and tortilla chips are not authentically prepared and are perhaps packaged and less than fresh...the salsa is like catsup, smooth and bland...cheese is okay...drinks bizarre (salt on edges of Black Russian?) With limited experience dining in krakow I can only say that this restaurant, like all others we visited in Krakow, has reluctant service. One must ask for a second drink, more chips, etc, as wait staff do not anticipate needs or respond to empty glasses.
Though the food did not resonate as Mexican, it was interesting and tasty for the most part.

As expats from the US who spend a lot of time in the southwest, this definitely was not Tex-Mex and not like most Mexican food we've had. First time we've ever experienced a burrito with Ranch dressing. At least they didn't use liquid cheese on the nachos. Posole was excellent. Margaritas would be better described as tequila martinis - very dry! They just waved the lime juice over the alcohol. Although the food was not what we expected, it was nonetheless tasty and well-prepared. Pretty good considering it was about 8000 miles from the Mexican border. Decor and atmosphere were quiet and romantic, as well as impressive considering that it was in a basement. Service was very good - attentive and prompt.

Good fun, lovely atmosphere, feels classy. but i have had better Mexican, go there and drink tequila, drink Corona beer and have some nachos but don’t hold your hopes for excellent "this is the best in Poland" food.

Love this place, everything about it is excellent - great atmosphere and value for money! Visit at every opportunity since 1995.
