The owners of Paese have created a little gem on the quiet but central ul. Poselska. 'Paese' means 'land' in Corsican, and the idea here has been to re-create a corner of that island right in the heart of Cracow. Frankly, they have done a pretty good job of it. There's a warm and friendly atmosphere, a whiff of the old Mediterranean in the decor and, most importantly, terrific food served up by chef Marcin Palus. If fresh asparagus in vinaigrette, or tagliatelle in lemon sauce is your sort of thing, get down to this lovely corner in the Old Town.
