Restaurant „Paese” is an old and well know destination in Krakow. Located in enchanting Poselska Street, a charming corner of the Old Town, just a few steps away from the very heart of Krakow – the main market square Rynek Glowny, restaurant “Paese”, has founded its home for last 15 years. It has been lightning warming and making merry Krakow`s bohemians with its Mediterranean and cosmopolitan ambiance. Secluded from business and noise of the center, but still just minutes away from it, it is a perfect location for romantic dinings, celebrations, private events, or business meetings. This place, with its ambiance and menu, was born out of love for Ile de Beautè, Mediterranean kitchen, and classic Southern France wines.

Stayed in Krakow 4 days, went to this restaurant twice. Very good food, nice staff. A really nice place to eat. If we return to Krakow, we will come back.

This restaurant doesn't have the sophistication of, say, Ancora (which is just nextcuisine is definitely worth a visit (and a another, and another).
The Steak Calvi might be my favorite dish in the whole city. Try it with a side of Roasted potatoes and garlic! Their soups are delicious, too. Keep an eye out for seasonal specials - I was there during asparagus season and found some delightful items on their special menu. A great place to find a great meal.

A fine dining experience. A bonus is that the wine from South Africa was very cheap for such fine quaility (Pinotage, Simonsveli, 65 Zt.) This place is a bit hidden but definitely worth seking out. Friendly, attentive staff. Casual.

Oh my God!! I have literally just arrived home after dining in this restaurant and the first thing I had to do when I walked through the door was sin it's praises on this site.
My friend and I both had the veal in balsamic sauce and it was amazing, my friend's grandmother had the tagliatelle with spinach in gorgonzola sauce and that too was mouth watering. All of our deserts were also of an amazing standard, so much so that my friend and I told two other diners (visiting from England) that this is by far the best restaurant food we have eaten since moving to Krakow 9 months ago.
Even the waiting staff are helpfull and attentive, a refreshing change in this city.
I can't recommend this place highly enough, GO THERE!!!

We had a lovely dinner here.. e.g. crab with champagne sauce, fish with parmesan, tiramasu all great. Service was good (one of the few places where there was a pause between courses, so we did not feel rushed)spacious tables, nice linnenf.. I would go back. Great value for money.

I can't say that I was overly impressed. Went here last night had the salad with goat cheese as a starter. salad was good but lacked much of a dressing. My main was the filet mignon with roast potatoes. Filet was tender and tasted very good. The roast potatoes were basically the frozen processed kind and not actual fresh potatoes cut and roasted in the oven...anyway they didn't taste good at all.

This place was amazing. Service was first class and the food was lovely! The steak with peppercorn sauce is a must as well as the salmon in spinach! Evan the lettuce salad was lovely. So good we went there twice.

Recommended by friends but turned out to be somewhat disappointing.

On our final night in Krakow we wanted to go somewhere special. Very helpful staff, great location and atmosphere. Absolutely delighful food. My stuffed aubergine was perhaps a bit too salty but this was nothing to prevent us from having a wonderful dining experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Krakow intent on dining out in style.
