Bar Vega

Open since 1995, Bar Vega on Gertrudy Street is one of few vegetarian restaurants in Cracow. Popular with locals and those just passing by, partly for the great window looking onto Krakow's Planty, Bar Vega is popular with actors, artists, students and local gourmets, as well as visitors. Expect a great variety of salads, deserts, natural juices in a unique atmosphere with quiet music. A great, relaxed place that will make you really feel at home. Open daily from 9 am until 9 p.m.

Nice place but food needs to be made fresh. I got sick after eating there. Needless to say I will be avoiding this joint.

Our family loves this place! The kids love the Russian dumplings, and my favorite is the spinach casserole with tomato sauce. All the salads are terrific too, especially the potato curry and the chickpeas.

Went in January and going again in a couple of weeks. The choice of food is excellent and it all tastes good. Great to find such good vegetarian choice in what I thought would be a big meat eating nation. Needless to say in a couple of weeks I'm going to be stuffing my face!

Simple vegetarian food that tastes great. Nice surroundings, pleasant music, friendly service, relaxing.

Not a huge amount of strict vegan food, but a nice place. What food was available was tasty and the prices were low.

Great location and a good range of food at a more than reasonable price. Especially good are the salads and soups. Not too crowded and serves no alcohol.
