we're on

Aperitif is a restaurant defined by its attention to detail as much as its relaxed atmosphere. Here, you'll feel comfortable whether you come in jeans or in a suit, whether for a business lunch or a romantic dinner; in fact, it's the perfect place to come to with no occasion whatsoever. The small menu changes with the seasons and offers unique takes on French and European dishes, as well as some original creations of the chef - and if you call a few days ahead, the chef can usually whip you up something off the menu. To complement your meal, the staff will help you select the perfect wine from a list featuring over 50 carefully chosen wines. The specials change on a daily basis, and because all of the ingredients are fresh and not frozen, they do occasionally run out - all the more reason to come back over and over again!

Uff! POLECAM!!!

I like the look of that restaurant, but quite often when I pass by it is completely empty. Need to try it one day. Any special recommendation on the menu? thanks

Fanstastic jedzenie dla mnie jako polskiego francuza wyśmienite porównywalne z najlepszymi miejscami w Paryżu, obsługa kulturalna ale też otwarta brak sztywności SUPER!!!!!!!

What a brillent place. Ate here on Boxing Day. Great service , food excellent ,very decent bottle of wine. Two courses and wine 201 zt you couldn't ask for better value for money. Have ate at several restaurants in Krakow and this is by far the best for value and service.

Looked quite cosy, and appealing from the street so we walked in. Food was just really great. The service was attentive, with a bit of a personal touch. They do a lovely wholemeal bread with caraway seeds to go with any of the salads. in fact, it was soooo good, we asked for more... The wild boar was delicious, and the fish soup...couldnt have done better at home.

Best Restaurant in Krakow! One of the Best Dinner Experiences EVER! Wonderful serving staff (Magda!), amazingly delicious food, absolute best wines! Very comfortable for a relaxed, long dinner! Will go back EVERY time in Krakow!

We were there on 11th June 2010. Gorgeous place, lovely atmosphere and fabulous food, as good as anything you would find in England and its only a fraction of the price. Try the 'Tasting Menu' 5 courses of pure heaven for only 99 zlotties.

Average price: £30.00 Aperitif offers superb, affordable international food in a relaxed bistro environment in the heart of Krakow

Just a 1-minute walk from Main Market, Aperitif Restaurant serves straight-forward and freshly prepared food at value for money prices in a warm and friendly atmosphere. inspiration for the food and design at Aperitif comes from a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros found throughout Central Europe. The emphasis at Aperitif is on simply, reasonably priced dishes and the menu includes steak, salad cesar & moules as well as lighter options . for deserts best choise- crčme brūlée are the house specialities for dessert.Aperitif is an ideal restaurant for laid-back lunches or dinner with friends, and its fantastic Central Krakow location makes it the perfect location for dinner before or after the opera. Be warned though, as Aperitif has been such an instant hit, booking in advance is essential.

Had a really good meal here yesterday. Living nearby, we noticed the place is often full (a good sign) so decided to give it a try. First thing we noticed - the service is fast and friendly. We were seated, given drinks and menus in just a few minutes. We chose a Caesar salad to share - it was HUGE and delicious. For a main course, I chose a rare steak. Most times in Poland, if you ask for a rare steak, you will get one that is well or normally done, but mine was cooked perfectly. The meat itself was OK and tender but lacked some taste. Overall, though, it was a big success, and I am happy to recommend it. Enjoy!

A real find this one. A very pretty garden out at the back, with comfortable chairs. Delicious dishes, and an upbeat atmosphere.

My wife and visited the restaurant on the 22nd and 23rd April. Both nights were excellent. The starters are superb and some are a main course for some. The steak was cooked to perfection as was the sea bream. Great service and a very good wine list. The Chillean sauvigon blanc went down well. Highly professional and friendly staff. A must do when in Krakow.

This is a very good restaurant indeed. We had the 5 course tasting meny. The soup and the blue cheese salad was a bit uninteresting. But the other tree courses were excellent. The ice cake was superb, really superb!

Had the 5 course tasting menu. What a bargain! Very tasty, well sized portions and nice presentations. I would have liked them to make the blue cheese salad a bit more interesting, but the rest was excellente!

I had the lamb medallions for my main course and they were absolutely fantastic! Compliments to the chef...

I tried the creme brulee you speak of - absolutely delicious! It's worth coming here just for dessert, but the fish soup was to die for as well!

reviewed by Ania from Poland on Jan.29.2009

What a great atmosphere! It seems Krakow has been missing a place like this, which offers something other than the same boring Polish or Italian menu, but instead something more original (and delicious!).
