Del Papa Ristorante email

An established favourite of the Krakow gastronomic scene, Del Papa scores highly for more than just its authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant manages to be both elegant and homely, thanks to its high wooden ceilings, fashionably deteriorating walls and kitchen-style furniture; whilst a couple of nice decorative touches, such as a medicine cabinet and window-framed oil paintings, add character. Once you're seated choose from upmarket dishes such as 'castolette di agnello' or sign up for pasta festival for a mere 18 PLN. Did we mention the service is great?

Del Papa Ristorante

Absolutely fantastic.

Food variety excellent and tasted brilliant, service likewise and I was shocked when I saw the bill! Very cheap.

By law menus have to tell what measure of wine you're paying for - usually 100ml. If you get less, you should complain. Maybe you're just used to drinking the 175ml or 250ml buckets served in the US and UK?

Excellent Italian food. As good as any authentic Italian restaurant food I have had in Little Italy here in Chicago. I do agree with one above comment. My glass of wine had a small splash in it, skimpy as I understand wine is expensive in Poland. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Been a bit of a fan of this restaurant for a couple of years (pretty much since it opened) but have to say that standards are dropping slowly but steadily, and the price is going up. Ate there last night out of nostalgia and couldn't get over the meanness of the portions (not applicable only to food - order a glass of wine and get a thimblefull) It's a very comfortable restaurant and had a great start, but yesterday evening (Sunday) it was pretty empty. The staff are great, this place could be so much better. Disappointing

After reading such great reviews, had dinner there recently. However while the pasta dish was nice, the pizzas were not the best that we had during our stay in Cracow. The restaurant is far too bright! need to dim the lighting to create more atmosphere.

had previously only really tried Del Papa's cheaper pastas here (which are ace btw!) but went a bit upmarket on my 30th birthday and was not disappointed. Excellent pumpkin soup starter and chicken with parma ham main. THe argentinean malbec was good too - all my friends were impressed with the food, wine and service, although a free shot at the end of the meal might have been a nice touch as we'd spent a fair old whack!

Visited here for both breakfast and two evening meals. Really friendly staff, superb food and excellent value. From an 8 day stay in Krakow this was by far the best establishment we found. Absolutely faultless

Four adults, four main courses, four desserts six drinks plus two coffee's plus decent tip equals 200 zloty, that's £40 two us Brits. Food and service 5 star.

Cute place. As you walk in you're imidiately greeted by the friendly English speaking staff. I wish I could have a cup of coffee now with their spinach blintzer, Yum Yum yum, I dreamof it till now. Overall food is great, nice selection, well priced. Do visit the place. Salute!

We went for breakfast here a couple of times during our visit. Good value and a good breakfast buffet - cereals, yoghurt, bread rolls, cheese slection, meat, jam, fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea and coffee . Would recommend it for guests at Globtroter as it is almost next door!

the food that i got was quite nice, but, BUT... well, if someone, as their chef, doesn't see the difference between "scampi" and " gamberi" and tries to tell me that this is the same animal... well, i lose respect ;)

time honoured fave. Del Papa has great atmosphere, service and food. It is not an exclusive restaurant - but for the price you will struggle to get a better dining experience

A really very good restaurant indeed. Cosy interior, friendly service and good food at decent prices. Primarily Italian food, with some modern accents. Can get busy so worth booking in advance.
