Cafe Mlynek email

Cafe Mlynek website

Mlynek has a classic Kazimierz ambiance. It's the kind of place where you'd expect to find a poet wrestling with some particularly mischievous vowels. The location's slightly removed from hip hubs such as Plac Nowy, but in reality, Mlynek's all the better for it. Besides being a supreme spot to polish your poem over a cup of coffee, Mlynek's got some gastronomic tricks up its sleeve. It's all vegetarian here, but with tasty dishes such as Pierogi Ruskie and a ravishing range of toasts and salads, you won't be complaining. Prices are very reasonable, so peckish backpackers won't be left out in the cold.

Very nice ambience and friendly staff. The food is good as well. I have had breakfast here twice - large portions, fresh bread, good coffee. They have free wifi and one can sit and surf for hours.

What a wonderful place! Friendly staff, lovely and relaxed atmosphere and brilliant food. Me being the only vegetarian in our group of four, I was a little worried taking my friends somewhere they might be restricted but even full on meat eaters came away from here beaming and happy! I just wish I could eat there more often! Me and my friends all miss those honey lattes... so so gooooood. I highly recommend this place, still can't get over how cheap it was too!

Had a lovely birthday meal here. Nicest of the vegetarian restaurants that we tried in Krakow. Large portions, menu in Polish and English, beer on tap! Spinach dumplings were divine, as was the grilled Camembert with cranberries and garlic bread. Very cheap when coming from the UK!

Whilst Mylnek doesn't have as large a menu as some of the other vegetarian cafes it more than makes up for this in the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the surroundings. Plus, if you're like me and enjoy a drink with your meal, then you'll like the fact that you can grab a beer from the bar or order a bottle of wine.

The food is really superb, too. The onion soup is the best I've ever had and the dumplings are divine. Highly recommended.

We came here on the strength of the reviews posted on this site and we were not disappointed.

Well made, tasty food, excellent price and great atmosphere.

This place will definately be on my list of recommendations to anyone I know coming to Krakow.

The food here was outstanding. All four of us ordered something different and ended up sharing little bits with each other saying 'you must try this'. This lovely place will remain long in our memories.

We really enjoyed this small, laid back cafe / restaurant. My girlfriend is a vegetarian, so it was great to find a menu with lots of choice. Top marks in particular for the onion soup, the beetroot soup and the mushroom dumplings. Delicate flavours, nice staff, cosy candelit tables and, like most places in this area, excellent value.
