Zblizenia

Fantastically chilled venue on the Plac Nowy, that has managed to escape from being a tourist trap on account of its inconspicuous frontage - just a solitary door! Those that dare to walk inside though will be rewarded with a sophisticated wood-panelled interior, jazzed up with glossy photos and low-hanging lights, vaguely reminiscent of Chinese lanterns. All-in-all, with its lazy soundtrack, excellent service and summer terrace, Zblizenia is a far cry from the melancholy haunts that characterise the rest of Kazimierz. It's cool enough to impress your mates in, and civilized enough to bring your mum - and there aren't many bars you can say that about! Plus, during the day you can grab some grub here at Zblizenia Cafe. |

The organisers of this year's Krakow Film Festival have already received more than 2,000 submissions from directors keen to make their name ...

Visited many bars in this area and have to say that this was the worst. Completely opposite in style to so many of the traditional bars in the area. For people from Krakow it probably make a refreshing change with its ambient atmosphere and chilled out house music.
