Propaganda email

Propaganda is a real finger-in-the-eye to the old communist system, a pub which is a brilliant and elegant parody of a past age, hilariously choosing to celebrate the defunct, flag-waving holidays of yesteryear such as the 22nd July. Expect to find themed parties at halloween, old socialist-style signs on the walls, and paintings of Lenin, all thrown together in a splendid mixture of pure socio-realistic mayhem. Open from 11 in the morning until the last customer leaves that night, Propaganda becomes the first pub in Kazimierz to offer draught Strongbow Cider. Cult.

Propaganda

Great place to walk into if you are prepared to have your schedule for the evening changed by not wanting to leave. Takes a while to get the vibe, but it's worth it. A superb place to meet local people and have great conversation. Beats the crap out of the bars in the Old Town. This is the real Krakow.

2010.augusztus 20, w nocy moja żona była w propagandzie Krakowa.

Vojtek był barmanem, zabawny facet, i goście, każdy jest miły i przyjazny.

Fantastyczny i mieliśmy dobry klimat, dobre piwo i dobrą wódkę.

Gives a new meaning to re-cycling! You just walk in there and think "This is just bizarre!" But with decent tunes on the sound system and possibly the cheapest 'pint' of Zywiec in Kazimeirz you can't go wrong.

This is a really cool place to hang out at night. Interesting people and great music and decorations.

Cool place. Had its heyday a few years ago but always a good place to go if you want to escape the tourist crowds. Laid back, funky crowd, and an electronic dartboard that is, frankly, crap.

You have to visit this place when in Krakow, quirky, unusual... but overall a great pub. Has the most dangerous stairs i`ve ever seen ANYWHERE - a spiral staircase which leads down to the basement where we chilled out and drank - though the life-sized Fighter Pilot with gasmask on the wall is very creepy !

Most interesting bar in Cracow,it's like having a drink in a museum!A must visit place, great people and music(though the barman wouldn't put any Pink Floyd on for me)said it was the rules? But still a nice guy! Going back early 2007. It's got to be done! Big Bird (Cardiff)UK.

The best bar in Krakow by mile!!! Ultra cool bar with the most eclectic mix of music you will ever hear and the decor is just mad!!! You have to love the front of the Trabant, how cool!!

If the bar you're in closes then head here. They closed at 5 AM so we all got to drink & talk all night! Nice mix of late nighters from all lands.

Left at 6am on Sunday morning with a vague idea we had a plane to catch - worst hangover I've ever had. Top pub, great locals, great music, fabulous time had - thanks !

And now for something else.... One of the most cult hangouts I visited. Amazing decorations. Not a place to hang-out all evening...but very nice to have a few drinks in the afternoon.

Amazing place - you could spend hours just looking at the decor. Will always remember it as the place we discovered the wonderful taste of the Tatanka!

Worth popping in to have a gander at the decor, but I found the atmosphere a little intimidating, which I haven't experienced anywhere else in Krakow.

Wicked! Totally a MUST DO in Kazimierz - the 'mad dog' cocktail of vodka and juice is unique. Everywhere else gives you bog standard vodka but not here! once you go here like me you can't stop coming back!

I've been coming to Cracow with my friends for a few years now. Every time we find lots of new places - clubs, bars - especially in Kazimierz, but Propaganda is still one of our favourites. This place rocks! I only wish we had places like this in England.
