Nowy Swiat (New World) is the traditional name of the district just west of the Old Town. At the end of the nineteenth century it came into its own as one of the most elegant places to live in Cracow. The arrival of this pleasant cafe is another small step in the gradual renaissance of the area, as can also be witnessed on the neighbouring ul. Felicjanek. This is an elegant cafe with attractive wooden furnishings and nostalgic black and white photographs of Old Cracow on the walls. Its the kind of place where both families and singles might drop by for a cake and cup of coffee. The splendid array of Wawel chocolates, (and some charming old sweetshop contraptions) will certainly keep little monsters happy while grandma and grandpa reminisce about the good old days. The cafe is easily accesible to handicapped guests.
