Cafe Avanti

Avanti Cafe has a loyal group of followers but it remains little known to tourists. Its just over the road from the Planty (the ring of parkland that circles the Old Town). After heading down a smart corridor at Karmelicka 7 you'll find the cafe right at the back. It's an elegant place, with a split level arrangement, the latter being a perfect place for a quiet chat. Locals swear by the home-baked Lemon meringue cake, one of their many exceedingly good cakes. In Summer you can sit outside, which is another plus factor. Excellent coffee.

It's an extremely charming place, a bit hidden. I love the orangeria and the staff is always very friendly. Time goes slower here.

I'm one of Avanti's followers! I love it. Hopefully more people will discover it, but not too many. I hate it when cool places get overun with tourists!!!!!!
