Nic Nowego

Nic Nowego (Nothing New) is a rather smart and comfortable modern Irish pub, beautifully appointed and with rather a refined and friendly atmosphere. The owner, who is from Ireland, can often be found here and is welcoming in a way only the Irish can be. The barman, who speaks English, mixes up a wicked array of drinks, and naturally there are a number of Irish ales as well. Open from 7 am until the last guest leaves, Nic Nowego also has a photo and art gallery, and a varied menu offering everything from an Irish breakfast(!) to seafood. Popular with visitors, students and businesspeople, Nic Nowego is well worth a visit.

Nic Nowego

"I think it's safe to say that I am now a regular at Nic Nowego! A bar which in my opinion is way ahead of it's competition in Krakow. Whether you're looking for a bar/cafe or a place to eat some good, reasonably priced food, then this is the place in Krakow. I recently had the poached eggs, after the owner Tom, recommended them and true to his word, they were great! Thanks Tom!"

"I thought this bar was ok but there are much better places around the old town. It is good for live sports as it has a large plasma tv at one end of the bar and has a good friendly atmosphere."

"Had to make the trip to Nic Nowego for the obligatory pint(s) of Guiness yesterday for St. Paddy's day, and what a night it was!! We had a great time! The craic was fantastic! Tom, the owner, was welcoming as always and we all enjoyed a fair few shots to make the evening complete! A great place, reaffirming the fact that this is my favourite place to eat, drink and be merry in, in Krakow! A fantastic bar/pub/restaurant/general hang out with superb staff and awesome food! A must for anyone in the city!"

"just back from cracow and can say this place is definatley worth checking out. its nice to see the modern ireland bar represented and not just yout sterotypical bicycle stuck on the wall beside some farming implements. Its not the decor that makes an irish pub its the craic and as i went in there on my own and ended up having a great nights drinking with people who i got chatting to and the staff i think it ticks that box alright with me. just watch out for the slivovitz."

"Hi Deco. Unfortunately, as we are aware that rival owners unscrupulously use the review function to bogusly promote their business with false reviewers and worse to damage other businesses credibility by posting fake negative reviews, we reserve the right to remove any suspicious reviews (however slight the suspicion) - and all of those reviews removed from this website have contravened our guidelines http://www.cracow-life.com/guidelines.php in one or often more ways. Your own comment was supplied without a valid email address for example. We hope Cracow Life continues to be a democratic tool for visitors to Krakow, however if someone has something to say it should be with no alternative agenda and backed up with a verifiable email address. "Just had an exceptional early Sunday lunch with my family at Nic Nowego. Really top notch food, huge portions and great value. The large portions of spaghetti bolognese are ENORMOUS and delicious. Baguettes, as always, exceptional. There seems to be a new menu and it puts Nic Nowego right up there with the best places to eat in Krakow. I'll be recommending this place to my friends. Top marks!"

"This pub is one of the more chill out places to go in Krakow. I caught a few soccer games here with my friends when we came over to study abroad last summer. Their breakfast is really good. Great drink selection, nice crowd and feels like home with the dog walking around. Their Strongbow cider is one of the cheapest prices you can find. Nastrowia!"

"From Donegal, and previously having lived in Poland (Mielec) for two years, I was pleasantly surprised recently when I returned to Krakow for a week and 'found' Nic Nowego. Very quickly the staff became friendly and it worked as I spent much of my spare time (and money) there. I'm heading back to Zakopane later this month and will spend an evening in Nic's. I like & reccomend it."

"Sterile, minimalistic design reflecting all that is wrong in modern cafe style pubs... the typical sort of characterless forgetable place you can now find on every street in Dublin. Great grub though and thumbs for the lack of Paddy Whackery, why the xxxx should an Irish pub be immersed in diddly eye and faux Irishness... go to the West of Ireland if ya want that... not Krakow, Poland."
