Rather good Italian coffee to kick off the day on this popular street just north of the Planty, Cudowne Lata also has a decent breakfast, and lunches later in the day. Lots of paintings and drawings on the wall make this feel like a gallery, and the regular artistic crowd who frequent it add to the rather relaxed atmosphere. If you want to get away from the smokers, there's a smoke-free zone in the basement, which is not always easy to find in Cracow. When the weather's decent, you can also sit in front of the cafe under an umbrella in classic European style. Open every day until midnight, except on Sundays, when it closes an hour earlier.
