Nowa Prowincja (New Province) is the sister outlet of one of Cracow's best-loved cafe's, Prowincja. The name and style may be unadventurous, but when you've got an atmosphere that's as beguiling as this, who's complaining? The new cafe has a cosy, barrel shaped room that's been painted a creamy shade of lilac. Marble-topped tables and plenty of candles keep the tone smooth and romantic. Worth bearing in mind is that Prowincja rustles up some of the most delectable cakes in town - those with a sweet tooth should not leave Cracow without trying their lemon meringue cake. Upstairs you'll find another unexpected treat - a little gem of a gallery that's hosts some eccentric shows.
"This place is still pretty cool. Dark, smoky, full of students. Good coffee and desserts... Pilsners on tap too. Just come to hang out with your intellectual friends (unless you're on a Yoo-Kay stag weekend, then u won't have any)."
