Mechanoff

With its strange half-human forms emerging from the walls, rough-welded bar stools and Mexican flags and paraphernalia, this pub could only be in Kazimierz! In true bohemian style, its a splendid mish-mash of food (excellent pancakes hand-cooked by the owner/chef), drink (one of the better ranges of wine locally), and partying (there are Mexican-themed parties every week). Asked about opening hours, the proprietor replied that its open from 10 am until it makes sense to close. Splendidly relaxed, uncontrived, and with a good dose of humour. |

And the winners are...
Forget about the Oscars, these are the awards that count in Krakow, year on year.
We refer of course to the Cracow-life Best Places accolad...

Been to Krakow 4 times in last year and always stay in The Hotel Astoria just round the corner from this great little pub, like others friendly atmosphere, not many poser like you find in say Alchemia across the road. and if you are feeling hungry just nip out the door and grab a Zapiekanka then back in for a nice cold Żywiec duży of course. Just a fantastic area of the city very bohemian, you will never be bored thats for sure
