Worried about missing the footie while you're on holiday? The English Football Club will have you all sorted. With several plasma TVs and one huge projection screen, chances are, if England (or Ireland, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland) are playing, you can catch the game at the English Football Club. Of course, this cellar pub provides more than just a place to watch sports. With plenty of cold Polish beers on tap, as well as a fully-stocked bar, one could easily spend the better part of a day here.

Thanks to all my friends in EFC for a great leaving party, especially to Anna and the crew for looking after me for the last two years.
I have had many great nights in the bar and probably many more which I can't even remember.
I am looking forward to visiting in the near future, keep my seat for me.

Dziekuje bardzo

This is a great bar, good location close to the main town square and everything you need for the English sports enthusiast. Also a deceptively large garden. We toured here recently with a veterans football team, Anna and Masa made us all very welcome and greatly added to our Krakow experience. We will return ! thanks to everybody at The English Football Club it was good meeting you,,,The Redland Ramblers VFC

We were in Crakow a couple of weeks ago and drank in the British football bar. The bar is great, the atmosphere is great and the bar staff are great, the only bad thing was we lost to England, (football). Will recommend the club to anybody going to Crakow.

Living and working in Krakow most of the time I am a regular in EFC and have made many friends from various countries including the staff at EFC. I have never found any of them to be impolite nitwits, the beer is not watered down,(I witness fresh deliveries on a regular basis and the kegs are never touched until they are put on tap). As for the place been full of pissed up Brits I agree, just like any other good bar in the centre on a weekend. What attracts people to Krakow? friendly polite people like the staff at EFC.

reviewed by Dave from United Kingdom on Mar.30.2011

Here is a translation of the USA Expat's review:

Horrible service! The skinny bartender is a nitwit , a brusque and impolite one! Beer mixed with water, herds of pissed limeys who are worshipped by the staff. The only advantage is the fact that they probably have all the possible sports channels.

TOTALLY UNTRUE COMMENT. STAFF ARE ALL POLITE AND FRIENDLY. THE ONE THAT YOU INSULTED IS A REALLY NICE AND FRIENDLY GUY.
Maybe if you had looked at the sign before you walked in, you would have realised that the place is FULL OF LIMEYS...

Thank you for visiting Cracow.

Just got back from a stag weekend in Krakow, the city is awesome but the best thing was the atmosphere and friendliness in the English Football Club, Anna and her staff made our weekend really great.

There was a mixture of City, United, Leeds and Wales fans on Saturday afternoon to watch the England game, the banter was brilliant, everybody had a great day.

Thanks Anna, we will be back again.

reviewed by Anna EFC from Poland on Mar.19.2011

Okropna obsługa! Chudy barman nie dość, że jest przygłupem to na dodatek jest opryskliwy i niemiły! Piwo chrzczone, tabuny zalanych angoli, których obsługa traktuje jak półbogów. Brak klimatyzacji. Jedyny plus to fakt, że mają chyba wszystkie sportowe telewizje.

Some of my friends and I came here on Saturday night because we were looking for a nice place to watch football. A friend of a friend had referred us to this place.
Service was superb!
Crowd was mixed and very friendly. We met the owner there and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy who wants to satisfy his customers.
We will definitely be visiting this place when we're back next tmie in summer!

The English Football Club is situated under ground at 5 Mikolajska Street and is the best place in Krakow for sports fans and music lovers.
The club shows live sport on Sky TV and plays music by request.
All the staff are English speaking and are very pleasant and friendly.
Everybody is made to feel welcome, singles, couples stag and hen parties and drinks are very reasonably priced.

We went to English FC last Saturday to watch West Ham Utd v Liverpool, the place was so busy-we didn't espect so many English wanted to watch football in Cracow!!And I'm glad we found a place like this one!!! There was no free tables but it wasn't a problem for the stuff-they've got a beer garden upstairs so they brought a table and a few chairs from there especially for us! We were impressed... but it wasn't the end. We ordered a couple beers and they were all in frosen glasses. After the match finished we staid for some more drinks cause we liked the atmosphere there. Some other lads from Liverpool staid too. Anna and Lukas took care of us, they turnd on our favourite music so we were all dancing, sisging and drinking Jagerbombs. Had such a good time there, it is definitely the best place in Cracow-for football, for drinking, for having fun. Just go and visit!!! my rating is 10 / 5 !!! We'll be back

I don't think thats a fair comment Laurence. If you're a football fan then you'll want to watch your team play, even if you're away on holiday. I agree that Krakow is a beautiful city, but if you support a team and their playing on the telly, why not head for a place like this that caters perfectly for it?? I'm sure that people who go to Krakow do not spend their whole time in places like this, but when they do pop in they enjoy themselves! Sounds good to me! Anyone who doesn't enjoy the rest that Krakow has to offer really is blind and rather ignorant in my opinion!

reviewed by Chris from United Kingdom on Dec.07.2008

Why would you go to such a beautiful and interesting city and spend your time watching english football? Go to places like Benidorm if you want that kind of holiday.
