Teatr Laznia Nowa

|
Laznia is Cracow's youngest theatre. It was previously based in Kazimierz, but it's just upped sticks and set up shop in Nowa Huta - the former communist 'ideal city' that was founded in 1949. Laznia has commandeered a splendid former technical school in the legendary suburb and they're over the moon about the magical post-industrial character of the place. With its huge halls and labyrinthine cellars the entire set-up comprises 4,500 square metres. Head over for an intro into lively new Polish theatre. Laznia also publishes a free magazine 'Lodolomacz' (Icebreaker) for fired-up activists. |
