This pleasant gallery is a part of the restaurant of the same name. As you'd expect, 'Kawaleria' (Cavalry) exhibits shows with a distinctly horsey theme, and as it goes, the tradition of horsemanship is a sacred one here in Poland. Cavalry were the creme de la creme in Old Poland - it was these fellows who saved Vienna from the dastardly Turks (1683) and who won world-wide fame during the Napoleonic Wars. The noble culture of horsemanship was frowned upon during the Stalnist era, and exhibitions here are full of nostalgia.
