This budding contemporary art centre is the pet project of Maria Anna Potocka, a leading figure in the Cracow art scene. She has been campaigning for many years to launch this project, which is based in the old royal hunting palace of Niepolomice. It's located 15 miles south east of Cracow, and you'll need to confirm opening times of individual exhibitions as the enterprise has been rather slow to get off the ground. However, the castle alone is worth the trip, and the nearby forest is also something of a favourite with Poles, where herds of deer and bison echo the flavour of the place in its Renaissance heyday.
