We had everything one could possibly want, including kitchen facilities, though we neglected them as it is so cheap to eat out in the city. It was nice not to be woken in the morning by chamber maids – especially when nursing a Krakovian hangover, the result of too much very strong, very cheap beer. Marisha made us feel very welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment is in a great location, only a short walk to the city centre. Going into my trip I decided against staying in any of the major hotel chains, not because of cost, but because I really wanted to experience as much of the local culture as possible. In the end, I was very pleased with my decision – the flat was clean, well equipped (with a nice kitchen), comfortable and in a great location (a 7-minute walk to the Old Town/Cloth Hall). | | "Krakow was wonderful when we were there this last April. We mostly hung out at the flat, more than visiting tourist sites - though we did that, too. The flat was close to the old town center, the needed shops for our stay were very close by, so we didn't need to spend a great deal of time shopping to fill-up the fridge and cupboards. Our flat was so close to the Old Town and the Rynek that the kids and I were able to take an early stroll each day and see Krakow preparing for another day. As we walked the cobbled stone streets, church bells rang, the Hejnal trumpeter blew his notes, colorful flowers were being set out in tubs and pots for the day's sale in the Rynek, and the pretzel sellers were already on duty. The location of our apartment also made our daily excursions to various other Polish towns a breeze. We had easy access to transportation to Zakopane, Czestachowa, Wadowice, and many other areas. It was very spacious, clean, nice bathroom with shower, nice kitchen for cooking, plus a very comfortable living room and dining room. This flat is very close to the center of the old town, just an easy 7 minute walk to the Cloth Hall and town square. The street and building are very quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the flat is well equiped. We enjoyed our stay in Krakow very much, and Marisha was very helpful. She met us at the train station when we arrived, had the flat stocked with fruit, juice, coffee & tea & milk, and breakfast goodies. She also arranged for us transportation to the train station when we checked out. | | "My first visit to Kraków was a business trip, where I was supposed to also give a reception for about 20 people: businessmen, politicians, artists, etc. Instead of booking a hotel and a restaurant, I decided to try out the affinity flat we had already booked for our family Easter holidays, and I haven't regretted it one single moment. In the Karmelicka flat, I could have easily had twice as many guests. Everybody was really impressed, both by the flat and by the originality of being received in a genuine Cracow home. | | "CHRISTMAS IN KRAKOW - Now that was an experience. Family members were able to come from different directions to meet up there, staying in Affinity Flats.
Marisha gave us a friendly welcome at the airport. She organised a taxi to take us to the flat and then showed us roud it. It was tastefully decorated for Christmas with decorations on a tree, lovely delicate lights and lots of candles to use. There were comforatable sofas to relax on.
Marisha had lots of information that helped us and was always ready to answer our queries or help with problems. We enjoyed the log fire and spent a great family Christmas in the flat and explored the many things there are to do in the ancient city. We had some good meals out with a wide choice of restaurants and found many things of historical interest.
There were too many of us for one flat and the second flat was beautifully furnished with up to date furnishings. Both Affinity Flats Executive and Deluxe apartments were really comforatable and an ideal base - a short walk to the old city. We could not have wished for a better venue for our Christmas celebrations and for a relaxing time after our days of exploring.
