Dominican Church

|
For many years the chosen church of the local gentry and aristocracy, the Dominican Church is nowadays a hit with young Cracovians, who come here for the fresh, lively sermons. The services are invariably packed here, mainly with students from the university and its affiliates. The Dominican monks, who live in the adjoining monastery, have been based here since 1250. Gregorian chants can regularly be enjoyed by both Cracovians and travellers, and the church's interior is refreshingly serene compared to the baroque dazzle of so many other houses of worship. |
